In preparation for the workshop, parents and students can go onto the website and get their ID number at http://www.fafsa.gov .
Parents please record your ID number and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
Parents must bring their last tax return with them to the workshop.  It doesn't matter what year as long as it the LAST tax return.
If a student is emancipated, they must bring their tax return with them.  If they have not filed taxes, whether they live alone or with a non-relative, they are not fully independent and must file under their parent/legal guardian.
If you do not have access to a computer, bring in your latest tax return and someone will assist you  in filing for financial aid during the workshop.
