Mrs. Susan Beaver is an educational interpreter at Crisfield High School, meaning she works with deaf students to facilitate communication between the student, teachers, administration and peers. Her parents are also deaf, making her a CODA, or Child of a Deaf Adult. She is married and has a wonderful son and daughter. To Mrs. Beaver, Women's History Month means taking the time to honor and reflect on women's achievements, which paved the way for future generations and continue to do so in inspiring ways, as it serves as a reminder that women have been the foundation of our country and have served in many pivotal roles in our country's history. Honoring women, past and present, during this month is a testament to dreaming big and that she, as a woman, is able to achieve anything she sets her mind to do.

Mrs. Rebecca Johnson Testing Coordinator Women's History Month holds profound significance for me as a mother of two girls. It serves as a powerful reminder of the strides women have made throughout history, highlighting the remarkable achievements, contributions, and resilience of women in shaping the world we live in today. As a mother, this month provides an invaluable opportunity to instill in my daughters a sense of pride in their gender and a deep appreciation for the women who have paved the way for them. It's a chance to celebrate the diverse stories of women from all walks of life, showcasing the strength, intelligence, and determination that have fueled progress. Women's History Month serves as a call to action for me as a parent. It encourages me to actively engage in conversations with my daughters about the challenges women have faced and continue to face, fostering a sense of empathy and a commitment to creating a more equitable future. I want my girls to be inspired by the stories of trailblazers, learn from the struggles of those who fought for women's rights, and feel empowered to pursue their dreams without limitations. Ultimately, Women's History Month is a time for reflection, education, and empowerment in our household. It's about nurturing a spirit of resilience, encouraging my daughters to embrace their unique qualities, and fostering a belief that they can contribute meaningfully to the ongoing narrative of women's history.

Mrs. Sarah Hanratty ELA teacher teaching English II,III, and IV To me Women's History Month means taking the time to recognize the achievements, and hardships women in U.S. have fought for. acknowledging the suffragettes who fought for women’s rights and the vote. It's also a time to learn about women who have made incredible bounds, whom we might not be aware of; a learning opportunity. I've been singing since I started lessons at 4 years old. My 15 minutes of fame would be that I've sung the National Anthem twice for the Seattle Seahawks and I got the opportunity to sing for Saint Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in Rome, Italy. I'm very proud and blessed to have been able to have those moments I will never forget.

Mrs. Grace Gray is a teacher librarian at Crisfield High. To her, Women’s History Month is the chance to appreciate the accomplishments that were made by women that paved the way to the life she leads today.
