Good evening Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the week. Congratulations to our staff members of the week, which are our very own PreK 3 teachers, Mrs. Blair, and Mrs. Disharoon, our PreK 4 teachers, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Crockett, and Mrs. Dryden as well as our Kindergarten Teachers, Mrs. Beauchamp, and Mrs. Evans, and Ms. Hoffman for putting on wonderful and informative Coffee & Curriculum sessions. Thank you to all the famillies that joined us. Also congratulations to our superstar students Zora Moore in 1st Grade and Ryley Taylor in 3rd grade. These students are model students and respectful to teachers and classmates. Way to go! In addition, thank you to all who donated for a Woodson Family in need. It is greatly appreciated. This Tuesday, October 10th, will be Parent & Teacher Conferences from 4:05 -6:05 pm. There was a flyer that went home to sign up with your child's teacher for a time. During this time will we also have a "Pop in" with Student Services. Stop by the cafeteria and get to know our Guidance Counseling Staff at WES. This Friday, October 13th, Mrs. Bennett's Class will be taking a field trip to Vessey's Farm. Also, on Friday we will have a WES Spirit Day, this means students may wear their Woodson Elementary Spirit shirt or House Shirt with uniform bottoms. Please join us next Thursday, October 19th from 5:00-7:00 pm for our Trunk or Treat and Curriculum Event. We will be passing out math materials, have community partners, candy and Walking Dead Tacos for dinner. Please make sure you return the flyer to sign up by October 16th. Also, next Friday, October 20th, SCPS will be closed due to the MSEA Convention. Thank you for taking the time to listen to this message and have a good evening.

We had a great turnout at our Pre-k 3, Pre-k4, and Kindergarten Coffee and Curriculum.
