To end their unit on Early Asian Civilizations, Mrs. Smith's second grade class made clocks symbolizing "good luck and fortune” and practiced writing Chinese symbols by writing numbers 1-12 around the clock. Way to go, second grade! 🌊💙

Our 5th Grade GT students have been hard at work creating their very own Haunted Houses! 👻
For this challenge, students could only use recycled materials to build their houses, such as cardboard boxes, tissue boxes, and paper towel or toilet paper rolls. Most worked with a partner and were encouraged to add their own creative touches. Some even added lights and sound effects!
This project was all about encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork — and our students truly rose to the challenge.
Now, it’s your turn to help! ❤️
Take a look at each Haunted House below and vote for your favorite by liking the photo. Every like counts as one vote!
Our students worked incredibly hard and are anxiously waiting to see which house will win. Thank you for supporting our young creators! 🎃

Students harvested apple seeds in hopes of them sprouting in 2 weeks and being able to plant them. Then, they used the apple slices to make “Apple Pie Roll-Ups” and “5 minute Ice Cream” (made in a bag) for a fall dessert. Week 1 of Gardening and Cooking Club was a success!
