Congratulations to Crisfield Academy's Spelling Bee winner, Miss Lydia Hale. Lydia will now compete at the regional level in March and if she wins, Lydia will move on to the national competition in Washington, DC. If for some reason Lydia can't attend, our runner up for the Spelling Bee is Miss Joelle Dorman. Thanks to Mrs. Traci Young and Mrs. Keisha Evans for your work and preparation for this event.

Good afternoon Crabbers - as the basketball season is coming to a close, we are having to make a few adjustments to improve the experience and safety of our fans. Please know these changes are being made with great consideration and for the good of everyone attending any of our ball games. For the rest of the year, we are going to require that all middle school age and younger students come in with an adult that is 21 years or older AND sit with that adult for the entirety of the game. This policy was sent out by Dr. Tasker-Mitchell earlier this school year, however we are making the adjustment that student 14 and under need to sit with their adult at this time due to some issues that have arisen. Please let your students know that if they are suspended from school, they are not allowed on any school property and are restricted from after school activities for a period of time (5 days for every 1 day suspended for secondary students.) Policy Number 600-17 . . . This policy shall apply to all students at all times on all Board of Educational property, including: (1) school buildings, (2) on school grounds, (3) school buses or vehicles, and (4) at all schools, school–related or Board sponsored activities, including but not limited to fields trips and school sporting invents. We are also going to reinstate the policy of Academy players paying to attend the games and come with an adult. Thanks for your help in these matters and . . . . . Go Crabbers!

Last week, 65 students went to Fort McHenry and the Baltimore Aquarium. It was a little wet, but a good time was had by all. Thanks to the bus drivers and chaperones for keeping the students safe while they had a great experience.

Each month, Mr. Arnold meets with the Principal Advisory Group. The PAG is made up of students 8th through 12th grade. This is the student's opportunity to share their thoughts on what is going well and what they would like to see changed at CAHS. This month's meeting was encouraging for admin and for the students as a lot of good things are happening at CAHS. #WeAreCrisfield
