Hello, WAHS Jaguar Family!
Today marks my first official day as Principal of Washington Academy & High School, and I am truly honored to join this incredible school community.
For more than 30 years, I have had the privilege of serving students, educators, families, and communities. Most recently, I served as Assistant Principal at Stephen Decatur High School, where I spent the past eight years. I am grateful for those experiences and excited to begin this new chapter with the WAHS community.
Over the coming weeks, my focus will be simple: Listen. Learn. Lead. I look forward to meeting our students, staff, parents, alumni, and community members as I learn about the traditions, strengths, and opportunities that make Washington Academy & High School special.
I believe every great school begins with caring for people, building strong relationships, and working together to create the best possible opportunities for every student. I look forward to partnering with our entire school community as we build on our many strengths and provide every student with the very best opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.

Need to recover credits and get back on track? Washington High School & Academy's Summer School Recovery Program gives students the opportunity to take up to TWO courses this summer!

⏰ Registration Deadline: July 9
💻 Laptops will be available for students to sign out.
📅 Courses run from July 1 – August 21.
Once courses are completed, students must return their laptops to their home school.

Washington Academy & High School, in partnership with the Somerset Retired School Personnel Association, is proud to offer our Clothes Sharing Rack Project. This initiative provides students with access to gently used clothing donated by our school and community members.
If you have clothing that your children have outgrown or no longer wear, please consider donating. Every donation helps ensure that our students have access to clothing they need with dignity and privacy.
