The hurricane shelter at Washington High School will open at 4:00 p.m. today.

Our golf team competed at River Run yesterday and did outstanding! Doug Fisher, Emily Whitelock, Hailey Watkinson, Cole Miles, and Reagan Walters placed 4th as a team! Alex Bui, Ashlynn Merritt and Amara Hankerson competed individually scoring a respective 57, 58, and 59.

Attention Seniors (C/O 2024), anyone interested in representing our school and county at the 2024 Maryland General Assembly (MGA) this year, please stop by guidance for an application. Applications are due by October 9th.


WAHS is looking for substitutes who want to work with our high school students. We believe in hiring from within, and we are seeking quality individuals. For every 5th day you sub, lunch is provided by administration. If interested call or text principal Tony Bevilacqua @ 443-365-4632 to streamline the process.


Each fall, NASA Wallops Flight Facility’s (WFF) mentors 12 internships for high school students in a STEM field for the summer session. There is a $2300.00 paid stipend. Students must be 16 years of age.

Application deadline: January 19, 2024.
