If you are at Washington Academy & High School and would like to be a part of SADD, we will be meeting on Thursdays after school. We meet until 4:00 pm. It is the student's responsibility to arrange transportation for pick up home. SADD, which is Students Against Destructive Decisions, is an organization that promotes healthy habits and discourages and educates against destructive activities such as underage drinking, distracted driving, proper seat belt use and so much more. SADD is big on community service and giving back to the school and community. If you think we are a fit for you, show up to a meeting and try our group out! You can also see the school nurse for details.
Starting next week, every Tuesday from 2:45-4:00 pm, UMES will host a great opportunity for students to prepare for college and/or careers.

Huge congratulations to our golf team members on their match yesterday. Our returning members from last season took off 43 strokes from their last year's scores! Doug Fisher, Emily Whitelock, Hailey Watkinson, Cole Miles, and Reagan Walters placed 4th as a team! Alex Bui, Ashlynn Merritt and Amara Hankerson competed individually scoring a respective 58, 53, and 59.
We want to say a huge thank you to our local guest speakers from yesterday's assembly! It was all our students could talk about for the rest of the day!

Our golf team is on fire! They competed at Eagles Landing and improved by 40 strokes as a whole team compared to their last year scores. Doug Fisher, Emily Whitelock, Hailey Watkinson, Cole Miles, and Ashlynn Merritt placed 5th as a team! Hello WAHS parents! On Sept 6th we conducted the first Parent Jag Group for WAHS this year. The meeting was very productive and provided a lot of positive feedback. We are excited for the events in the future. Parents please join us at our next Parent Jag Group Meeting on September 20th at 5:00 pm.
