Today's Fun Fact Friday is about Mr. Wyatt. Did you know that Mr. Wyatt was All State in Choir in middle school?! Stop by and ask him to sing you a song and see if he still has it!

Today's Trivia Tuesday comes from the music/choral department. Did you know that there are roughly 9,274 songs about or for Christmas. If you were to sing every Christmas song for 3.5 minutes each, you would need to sing them 24/7 from December 1 to December 24 to get through them all.

Fantastic Football News!!! All-Bayside is a conference for student athletes in Eastern Shore and Washington Academy & High School participate in the conference. It includes north and south all-conference teams. At the end of the season, there is a list (decided on by the coaches) for First Team All-Bayside, Second Team All-Bayside, and Honorable Mention. It is an honor to be nominated for the teams. Our Jaguar, Gladimir, made Second Team All-Bayside. We are so proud of this accomplishment for Gladimir. I spoke with Gladimir today, and he is excited to be named to the Second Team All-Bayside for football. When I asked him what the best part of playing for the Washington High Jaguars football team he said, "The brotherhood and the sisterhood that we have built and maintained throughout every up and down." He is dedicated to the team, and aspires to head off to college to hopefully play football after graduation next year. He is a Junior at our school, so we have one more year to watch him lead our #Jags. He is a great student, so we know he can make that goal happen. He explained that he plays left guard and left tackle. He said he likes being the backbone of every play that happens on offense. He also likes the sense of accomplishment that he gets from making good plays even if he doesn't get all the credit but he shares the credit with the team. When asked what his biggest accomplishment was this season, his response was, "I could say being named on Second Team All-Bayside. BUT, when I think about it, really my biggest accomplishment was overcoming my bad habits to better my game and the teams outcome." He said that looking forward to next year, he would like to continue to better himself, and he said "I am going to make First Team All-Bayside next year." He further stated that he sees us (the team) getting better and bigger with the new edition of our new weight room. "I see us getting our first game win." When talking with Gladimir, you quickly learn that he is dedicated to football. He said that his mother is his biggest supporter and he appreciates her. He said he also gets much support from his coaches and teammates. He did add that most importantly he supports himself. He stated, "I get myself out of bed and make sure I am ready to work and I motivate myself into being the best I can be!" He wants to thank his coaches, Coach Meintzer, Coach Morton, and Coach Giani. He said they have been more than just coaches, they have treated him like family. He said he will never be able to repay them for all they have done, and for their importance in his day to day life! Congrats from #JagNation Gladimir! We are all supporting you and cannot wait to hear your name for First Team All-Bayside next year!
