PLEASE SHARE and SPREAD THE WORD! Dr. Tasker-Mitchell has asked us to join her in celebrating UNITY Day by wearing orange on Wednesday, October 16th. GOING ORANGE WEDENSDAY, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! By wearing orange we will be supporting solidarity against bullying! In addition, we will be sharing and promoting kindness to everyone, promoting acceptance of all individuals, and encouraging inclusion of everyone. Through UNITY we create healthier communities for all individuals. Unity within our school, and UNITY in our county school system, and UNITY in the communities that we live in! October is also NATIONAL BULLYING AWARENESS MONTH. It is a month to remind us to take action at local levels to foster safe and supportive environments. Thus, the two go hand in hand, UNITY DAY and NATIONAL BULLYING (PREVENTION) AWARENESS MONTH! No one wants to be bullied, and EVERYONE wants to fit in and be a part of something! In #JagNation we all want to work together to show "WE WILL NOT TOLERATE BULLYING!" AND, WE ARE ALL A PART OF #JagNation! Our students will be allowed to wear orange shirts, sweatshirts, or sweaters along with uniform pants on Wednesday, October 16th. NO jeans, pants MUST be uniform pants. NO orange hoodies! That will be the attire for students on Wednesday. If you can, please allow your student to participate to show that they support UNITY within our school community! #October16 #UnityDay #NationalBullyingPreventionMonth #TogetherWEstandasUnited #JagNation #ORANGE

PLEASE SHARE and SPREAD THE WORD! FIELD HOCKEY HOME GAMES! Tomorrow is an important day in America's history. Patriot Day is held on 9/11 to honor the memory of those lost during the terrorist attack on our country. It is a day of remembrance! There were many acts of extraordinary courage and sacrifice. Many brave men and women were lost on that day in 2001. Sadness struck America in a different kind of way. In honor and memory of Patriot Day and the lives impacted/changed, and those lost, the Varsity Field Hockey Team and SADD will sponsor a RED, WHITE and BLUE game! The games will be HOME tomorrow, Wednesday 9/11, as follows: JV Field Hockey vs Kent Island at 4:00 pm, and the Varsity Field Hockey vs Kent Island at 5:30 pm. We are asking the fans to wear RED, WHITE, and BLUE to join in on our remembrance of that horrific day. We hope you will come out and support the team (which consist of some pretty great students) and the cause! #JagNation #REDWHITEBLUE #SupportTheCauseAndOurTeam #WeNEEDyou! Image by Freepik

Washington Varsity Soccer was on FIRE tonight! Way to go #Jaguars. Coach Riley Horner with his Assistant Coaches (Noah Brittingham, Willie Ross, and Caleb Walston) and their great group of players took the win at their first home game of the season. They had an 8-0 win of Cambridge South Dorchester. You can be assured that the teams Captains (Clinton Lankford, Dawson Daniels, and Evan Dryden) were pleased with the outcome of tonight's game! Yaseen Mohammed scored 5 goals, and had 2 assist. Trevor Evanusa scored 2 goals. Clinton Lankford scored one goal and had 2 assists. And, Ahmed Osman and Aiden Rodriguez both showed up with 1 assist each! Clean sheet for defense and Evan Dryden! And, I bet we can throw in a couple of special shout outs to the loudest fans, both Brandi Horner and Annette Ross were in the stands tongitht! I can guarantee you could hear them happy hollering during the whole game! Next game, home Thursday at 4pm, Stephen Decatur! Let's keep it up #Jaguars! #JagNation #SoccerWIN #WearePROUD!
