🎶👏 Huge congratulations to the Washington High School Band for an outstanding performance at the District Band Festival! The band earned an “Excellent” rating overall and a “Superior” in sight reading, marking the highest score since our current director has been at Washington.
With just 16 students, they confidently took the stage alongside much larger bands and impressed the judges with their musicianship, professionalism, and ability to truly make music together. This Saturday, February 28th, there will be baseball tryouts for 9th -12th grades.

🎓Yesterday, our students had an amazing opportunity to visit Wor-Wic Community College! They explored campus life, learned about academic programs and career pathways, and gained valuable insight into what their future after high school can look like. Experiences like this help our students see the many possibilities ahead and motivate them to keep striving for success.

These incredible athletes will compete in 9 events, including shuttle run, jump rope, cycling, bench press, deadlift, and more — all while representing what it truly means to be unified and strong.

The standard is set, and the mission is clear — we’re going after the gold once again!

This week, students enjoyed hands-on learning in Ms. Bevins’ class! On Thursday, they worked with Mrs. Nicole from the 4-H Program to learn about germs and proper handwashing using a UV blacklight. On Friday, students built confidence while presenting their Black History Month projects on influential Black chefs and fashion designers. We love seeing our students learn by doing — check out the photos below! 👏📸
